I’m Susan Holbrook—a Southern and sassy, self-taught floral designer with a love for creating beautiful arrangements for every season and occasion. Whether I’m working with cheerful spring blooms, rich fall colors, or festive holiday accents, I enjoy designing pieces that bring warmth, personality, and a little joy into every space.

I’m married to Lewis, mom to five, bonus mom to two, and—best of all—GiGi to seven! When I’m not creating at Sassafras Studios, I serve as the Executive Director of the Historical Association of Catawba County, where I’m passionate about preserving and sharing the stories of our community.

Sassafras Studios is my creative outlet—a place where my love of color, Southern charm, and one-of-a-kind design come together. Every piece is made with care, imagination, and just the right touch of sass!​ I love combining flowers, textures, colors, and unexpected details to create pieces that make people smile. My designs are inspired by the seasons, Southern hospitality, and the belief that beautiful surroundings can bring joy to everyday life.
